  • Believes in developing the natural tendencies and abilities of children
  • Believes in developing individual education plans for each child based on observed behaviours toward interests, learning styles, and the goals of parents.
  • Believes in letting the child pick their learning pace and what they are interested in learning while maintaining required basic learning minimums such as letter recognition, math, reading and writing, behaviour and social boundaries based on mutual respect.
  • Believes in children building socio-emotional competencies, as such, children are encouraged to express their feelings at the level of their competency and staff assist children to actively listen and respond meaningfully and intentionally with understanding.
  • Believes a child's imagination is the gateway to their infinite possibilities because whatever they can envision, they can achieve. As such, imagination is planned and encouraged using a variety of themes, props and setups as apart of the educational programming.
  • Believes that planning, structure, discipline and time management skills are imperative to success and are integrated throughout the day as children maneuver the various activities in their individual education plan.
  • Children learn from one another having a diverse background of children in care enhances cultural acceptability, understanding and inclusivity.

Less Language Based Therapy

Social Skills Training

Psychoeducation

  • Discussions about what causes mental health problems, how the problems might be treated, how to self manage the problems, how to prevent future problems
  • Conflict resolution


Psychotherapy (Talk Therapy)

  • Structured and focused discussions, planned topics
  • Less structured to identify and uncover deep issues, unplanned topics
  • Peer support groups


Cognitive - Behavioural Therapy

  • Identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and identify healthier skills and habits. goals, strategies, homework
  • Teaches new behaviours to replace problematic ones
  • Mindfulness - being aware of their thoughts and actions
